Chalet Toboggan Chutes

What better way to get out of the house on a crisp and snowy winter’s day than to take a trip to the Cleveland Metropark’s Chalet Tobogganing Chutes. These sleek chutes, the only public ice chutes in Ohio, take a lot of the safety issues out of tobogganing. There are no trees to run into or ravines to avoid.

The Chutes:

The two chutes are open Thursdays through Sundays between late December and the end of March, weather permitting. The chutes are 700 feet long with a vertical drop of 70 feet, plenty for exciting dips and thrills. Riders are required to wear mittens or gloves and must be at least 42” tall to ride.

Facilities at the Cleveland Toboggan Chutes:

Non-riders or those early to tire can warm up in the adjacent chalet, which features a wood-burning fireplace, large-screen TV, video games, restrooms, and a snack bar. The facility can be rented during non-public hours for company outings, birthday parties, and family reunions.

Admission:

Rates are $8 for adults and $6 for children 11 and under for an all-day pass. Timid riders may buy a one-time pass for $3. Season passes and group discounts are also available.

The Chalet Toboggan Chutes are open:
Thursdays: 6 - 10pm, Fridays: 6 - 1030pm, Saturdays: Noon - 1030pm, and Sundays: Noon - 5pm; During the December holidays, the chutes have an extended schedule, including some Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays hours. Call 440 572-9990 for details.
