New Year's Eve in Toledo and NW Ohio

Whether you’re looking for a late night on the town or a way to celebrate the new year with your family, Toledo and the surrounding area have a number of events to consider. Here are our favorites: (all events are December 31 unless otherwise noted.)

New Year’s Eve at the Toledo Zoo

Visit this kid friendly event at The Toledo Zoo, which features special activities and treats. Admission is free for members, $10 for non-member adults; and $7 for non-member seniors and children. Hours are 10am to 4pm.

First Light Sylvania

This family-friendly, alcohol-free event features live entertainment, art displays, food, and family fun at six venues in Sylvania. Admission wristbands are $5 per person and may be purchased at the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce and the Franciscan Center at Lourdes College. Event hours are 6pm to 10pm.

New Year's Eve Party at the Holiday Inn French Quarter

Perrysburg's Holiday Inn French Quarter is hosting a special overnight New Year's Eve event. Enjoy a seafood and prime rib buffet with bar, three live bands, a breakfast buffet, four drinks per person, and a champagne toast to ring in the new year. Rates vary from $320 to $430 per couple.

Murder Mystery Train

The Old Road Dinner Train in Blissfield, Michigan is hosting a New Year's Eve murder mystery party. Enjoy a five-course meal during the two-hour trip through the SE Michigan countryside. Of course, a murder enfolds during the trip. $79.95 per person (does not include bar service); 9pm to midnight (boarding 1 hour before departure). New Year's Eve Disco Party

Gladieux Meadows is hosting a disco party on New Year's Eve. Tickets are $30 at the door plus cash bar and optional $25 buffet dinner; 7pm to 1am; Gladieux Meadows, Heatherdowns Boulevard (across from the Stranahan Theater).

Miss Cue New Year's Eve Party

Irish New Year's Party at Claddagh Irish Pub

Ring in the new year with an Irish flair at Claddagh's at Franklin Park mall. 7pm - close.

New Year's Eve at the Blarney Pub

Another option for an Irish New Year's Eve celebration is The Blarney Irish Pub, located at 601 Monroe Street in downtown Toledo. The $10 per person cover includes party favors and champagne toast with $10 optional dinner; 7pm to 230am; 419 418-2339

New Year's Eve with the Chinaman

Fat Fish Blue, the Toledo area cousin of the popular Cleveland downtown restaurant, is hosting a party with the Funny Bone comedy club. Shows are at 730pm and 945pm and the package includes the show, live music, optional dinner service, party favors, and a Champagne toast at midnight.
