The Beck Center for the Arts

The Beck Center for the Arts, located ten minutes west of downtown Cleveland in Lakewood, Ohio, is the area's largest cultural arts center. The Beck produces a full schedule of dance, theater, and visual arts events throughout the year as well as holding arts classes for students of all ages.

Events:

The Beck Center produces a regular schedule of musical, drama, and comedy theater events throughout the year. Recent productions have included The Full Monty and The Music of Harry Chapin. In addition, the Center's Youth Theater program puts on three annual performances.

Classes:

The Beck Center has been educating the community in dance, theater, music, and the visual arts for 75 years. Their variety of classes are geared towards all ages, for 2 to 100. The Beck Center teaches approximately 3600 students each year and their youth theater program is the oldest continuously operating program of its kind in the country.

Visiting the Beck Center:

The Beck Center is conveniently located on Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. Ample parking is available at $2 per car. The Beck is wheelchair accessible and equipment is available for the hearing-impaired.

Tickets:

Theater tickets to Beck Center performances are available by phone or at the Beck Center box office. Tickets are $28 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $17 for students 22 and under with an ID. Rush tickets are also offered to students within 30 minutes of curtain (if available) on Thursdays and Sundays for $10.
