The Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic is an eight-day horse show that includes the Cleveland Grand Prix jumping event. The show, held each July at the
Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Moreland Hills, includes an array of events and three rings of daily hunter and jumper competitions. The 2008 dates are July 12-20.
Event Schedule:
The horse show competition begins at 8am daily and there will be three rings of events each day. Other highlights of the 2008 schedule include:
- July 18, 19, 20 - Buckeye Dock Dogs Big Air competition - Friday 4pm - 7pm, Saturday 9am - 6pm, Sunday 9am - 5pm
- July 20 - Cleveland Grand Prix - 2pm
- July 19 - Family Day, featuring pony rides, crafts, and character appearances
Cleveland Grand Prix:
The Cleveland Grand Prix is the highlight of the Chagrin Valley Hunter and Jumper Show. The event, held on Sunday July 20, is a member event of the AGA Series of Show Jumping and has a $50,000 purse.Other Activities:
In addition to the horse events, the show features dog obedience and agility competitions, Family Day, and several benefit luncheons and dinners.Tickets:
Tickets may be purchased at the gate or ahead of time at Schneiders Saddlery. Grass and bleacher seating is available with your general admission ticket. Bring a lawn chair, picnic blanket, or enjoy the view from ringside bleachers (available first come, first serve).
General Admission for 2008 is free July 12 through July 16; $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children 12 and under July 17 through July 19; and $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children on Sunday, July 20. Box seating is also available.Directions :
