Every two years, the Cleveland Botanical Garden welcomes spring with a lavish showing of twenty specially-created gardens, expert lecturers and demonstrations, and a world-class horticulture and flower-arranging competition.
The show, the largest outdoor flower show in North America, features three types of gardens:
- Collection Gardens -- Gardens that are part of the Botanical Garden's permanent displays
- Theme Gardens -- specialty gardens that are designed to stay in place until the next Flower Show in two year.
- Show Gardens -- fanciful and beautiful gardens that are in place just for the four days of the Flower Show.
Pictured above is the "Bass Garden," designed by Schill Landscaping of Sheffield Village, Ohio. The garden is the focal point of the Show and is shaped like a musical bass clef. The Bass Garden will be the site of the musical happenings during the Flower Show.
