Every two years, the Cleveland Botanical Garden welcomes spring with a lavish showing of twenty specially-created gardens, expert lecturers and demonstrations, and a world-class horticulture and flower-arranging competition. This, the largest outdoor flower show in North America, is held over Memorial Day weekend. The 2013 dates are May 21 - 25.

What is the CBG Flower Show?:

The Cleveland Botanical Garden Flower Show is modeled after the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show in London. The CBG Flower Show, the largest outdoor show in America, features all-new show gardens, an exhibit hall filled with floral art from all over the US, a bustling garden marketplace, and a variety of expert lecturers and demonstrations.

Show Gardens:

In addition to the ten acres of award-winning permanent collection gardens at the CBG, the twenty gardens at the 2007 show were set up around six theme gardens, which explored the show's "Rhytnm and Hue" theme; four temporary show gardens, designed by top are designers; non-profit gardens, which seek to educate viewers about conservation issues, respect for natural resources, and the bond between horticulture and the environment; and OLA Gardens, small gardens designed by members of the Ohio Landscapers' Association.

Show Events:

Special events in conjunction with the 2013 show included a magical preview party. In addition, there was a luncheon with top Dutch floral designer, Pim van den Akker, and a Dutch floral workshop.
