Bio: Congresswoman Sutton was born in 1964 in Barberton, Ohio, the youngest of six children. She graduated from Kent State University and has a law degree from the University of Akron. She is married and lives in Copley Township.
Sutton began her political career on Barberton City Council in 1990. She then served on the Summit County Council (1991-1992) and in the Ohio House of Respresentative (1993) before taking a hiatus from politics to practice law. Sutton won the US House seat vacated by Senator Sherrod Brown in 1996. She sits on the House Judiciary and Rules Committees.
