Cleveland Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Pride, begun in 1989, is a June weekend of activities, including a parade, a party in the park, and live entertainment -- all designed to celebrate the diversity and solidarity of Cleveland's LGBT community.

Pride Events:

The events for the 2008 event are still in the planning stages. Last year's theme was "Cruisin' with Pride", a nautical theme. Events included a parade from W. 3rd St. to Voinovich Park (behind the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), where there was a party with live entertainment, food and drink, and a variety of vendors. Cleveland Pride is a family-friendly event.

Entertainment at Cleveland Pride:

Entertainers at the 2007 Cleveland Pride included actor and comedian, Jason Stuart; musicians Nemesis Rising, Doria Roberts, Eric Hinman, and Rebel Girl; and Cabaret performer, "Lounge Kitty."

Volunteer for Pride:

A successful Pride event requires scores of volunteers. Needed are people for the Friday truck load, to man the Senior and Children's pavilions, to make signs and decorate the festival, to set up and tear down the event; among other things. For a complete list of needs and times, see the Pride Web site. To volunteer, contact Kim Hunyor at 216 651-6439.
