Cleveland Pride, begun in 1989, is a weekend of activities, including a parade, a party in the park, and live entertainment -- all designed to celebrate the diversity and solidarity of Cleveland's LGBT community.
The celebration, held at Voinovich Park, in the shadow of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and under the Cleveland skyline, is a family-friendly day of music, food, gay-friendly vendors, and community. The nearby Lake Erie shoreline and the spectacular Cleveland cityscape combine to make a dramatic setting. I was fortunate enough to attend this year's Pride festival. These are my pictures and observations.
