Lake County Perchfest

The Lake County Perchfest, held in early September each year, is home to Ohio's largest fish fry. In addition, the lakefront event, sponsored by the Lake County Visitors Bureau, features fishing contests, karaoke, and historic lighthouse tours. The 2008 dates are September 5-7, 2008.

Events:

Lake County Perchfest is all about fish. Visitors can enjoy a perch, walleye, or shrimp dinner as well as participate in fishing contests, sing karaoke, listen to live music, and tour the historic Fairport Harbor lighthouse. The winner of the fishing contest receives a $1000 prize.

Hours and Admission:

Lake County Perchfest is open Friday from 4pm to 11pm, Saturday from noon to 11pm, and on Sunday from noon to 8pm. Admission is free.

How to Get to Lake County Perchfest:

Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park is located just off route 44, about two miles north of route 2. The park is about a 45-minute drive from downtown Cleveland.
