Lake County Ohio

Madison, Ohio, located at the extreme eastern edge of Lake County, is a village of approximately 3000 residents. It is one of the areas originally settled by the early pioneers of the Connecticut Western Reserve. Today, the village boasts a charming town square, a historic theater, several bed and breakfast inns, and a relaxing, country atmosphere within an easy drive of the city.

Willoughby, Ohio is located in Lake County along the shores of Lake Erie about 30 minutes east of downtown Cleveland. It's a quiet community of around 22,000 residents and boasts an historic downtown shopping and dining area.

The Lake County Perchfest, held in early September each year, is home to Ohio's largest fish fry. In addition, the lakefront event features fishing contests, karaoke, and historic lighthouse tours.

Painesville, located about 30 miles east of downtown Cleveland, is the county seat of Lake County. The city, names for American Revolutionary War hero, General Edward Paine, is home to 17,500 residents.

Eastlake Ohio, located in Lake County, about 30 minutes from downtown Cleveland, is a quiet lakefront suburb, with tree-lined streets and a First Energy Generating Station. It's also the home of the Lake County Captains, a Class A minor league baseball team, affiliated with the Cleveland Indians.

The Lake County Fair, held at the Lake County Fairground in Painesville each August, has been delighting residents each year for over 90 years. The six-day event features livestock, live entertainment, a midway of rides, and lots of fair food, just to name a few attractions.
