The Holden Arboretum, located east of Cleveland in Kirtland, Ohio, is a 3000+ acre showplace for indigenous Ohio plants, flowers, trees, and wildlife. The beautiful park features specialty gardens, miles of hiking trails for all skill levels, and a constant schedule of educational events and exhibits.

Holden Arboretum was founded in 1931, after a bequest from Cleveland mining engineer and executive, Albert Fairchild Holden. His daughters took up the project as did many of his former neighbors, including Mr. and Mrs. Warren H. Corning, and donated time, money, and land to the project. The thriving arboretum, today, is dedicated to education and conservation of plant life, particularly those plants native to Ohio.
