Geneva-on-the-Lake, located on the shores of Lake Erie about an hour's drive east of Cleveland, was one of Ohio's first lakeside resorts. Ohio's Lake Erie Wine Trail includes nineteen wineries in Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula Counties. Particularly delightful are the icewines produced in this area. Most of the wineries have tasting rooms and many also feature restaurants, gift shops, and picnic areas.
