Technology merges the past and present in the informational touch-screen kiosks designed by artist Joan Brigham of Massachusetts. These stations, placed throughout the Silver Line’s east-west route, house archives that have been collected in conjunction with CPA, Ideastream (WCPN/WVIZ), and Cleveland State University’s Department of Urban and Public History. The project entails a database of oral histories that detail community features and neighborhood attractions through personal stories to engage commuters while providing personalized expressions of the area’s diverse traits.
