Cleveland Public Art (CPA) is an intertwined feature within the Cleveland landscape and the non-profit organization is now making a more visible impact through its GCRTA- commission to design integrative art for the Euclid Corridor Transit Project (ECTP). The ECTP, which began in 2005 and is expected to be completed by the close of 2008, represents a $168 million GCRTA mission to improve public transportation in the heart of Cleveland. The ECTP and CPA partnership signifies creative improvements to the Euclid Avenue infrastructure. Join me as we explore the aesthetic and functional contributions to the ECTP by CPA and five nationally-selected artists.

Continuity, modernity, and diversity coalesce in the designs Mark Howard, Arlene Watson, Joan Brigham, Nancy Dwyer, and Cliff Garten. Whether you travel the corridor by foot or bus, the work of these artists and CPA is easy to spot in the form of man-hole covers, signs, pathways, seating, and many more public art accents.
