1. Gale's Garden Centers
This gardening super-store has four locations around the city -- in Brunswick, Maple Heights, Westlake, and Willoughby Hills. The stores have everything from indoor and outdoor plants; trees and shrubs; fertilizer, mulch, and additives; decorative pots and containers; and an interesting gift wares department. All of the stores are well-stocked and have a friendly and helpful staff, but I prefer the Willoughby Hills location for variety and freshness.2. Petitti Garden Centers
Owned by local grower, Angelo Petitti and his family, this chain of five Cleveland area stores offers a wide selection of plant material and accessories at affordable prices. The stores, located in Oakwood, Strongsville, Richmond Mall, Southland Center, and Maple Hts, have a huge yard filled with plants. The Strongsville location even has a restaurant. Petitti Garden Center grows many of the plants that they sell so their prices are often lower and quality higher than other garden centers.3. Gali's Florist and Garden Center
Located on Chagrin Boulevard, just east of Warrensville Center Rd., Gali's combines an excellent selection of perennials, trees, and shrubs with a wide variety of stone and concrete garden benches, pots, and statuary with a florist shop, filled with ceramic pots, garden ornaments, holiday items, and fresh-cut flowers.
