Malley's Chocolates

Malley's Chocolates, established in 1935, is a Northeast Ohio favorite. Their luscious chocolate delicacies, such as hand-dipped strawberries and chocolate-covered pretzels, are a must for Valentine's Day, Sweetest Day, and other special occasions.

Today, with 17 locations, Malley's Chocolates offers a full variety of candy as well as ice cream and plant tours.

History:

Malley's Chocolates began in Lakewood in 1935 with a small loan and a big dream. The company grew gradually adding unique candy stores, such as the Lorain Avenue store with a merry-go-round inside and four ice cream parlors. Today, the company is fun by the third generation of Malleys, and includes 17 retail stores.

Malley's Chocolates:

Malley's offers a full range of chocolates. Some of the most popular items include their chocolate-covered pretzels, traditional Ohio "buckeyes," chocolate peanuts clusters, and chocolate truffles. For Valentine's Day and Sweetest Day, Malley's also offers hand-dipped giant strawberries -- a perennial favorite.

Malley's Chocolates has 17 locations in the Northeast Ohio area, in Lakewood, Bay Village, Avon, Elyria, Rocky River, North Olmsted, Great Northern Mall, Strongsville, Brookpark, Brunswick, Montrose, Parmatown Mall, Aurora Farms Premium Outlets, Valley View, Solon, Woodmere, and Mentor. Ice Cream Parlors:

Four of Malley's locations -- Mentor, Bay Village, Lakewood, and North Olmsted -- feature in-store old-fashioned ice cream parlors. Visitors can choose from 50 ice cream concoctions. You can even host a birthday party there.

Plant Tours:

Malley's 60,000-square foot chocolate plant in Brookpark offers one-hour plant tours by appointment, Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm. For the Holidays:

For Easter, Malley's Brookpark location transforms itself into "Bunnyland," with a giant tent and thousands of chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and other Easter favorites.
