Hot apple cider is another great way to use the abundant Ohio apple crop. Pick up a gallon of cider at a local apple farm or farmer's market. It's also the perfect beverage for that leaf-raking party or Friday night football game.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 Gallon Ohio apple cider
  • 12 Cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 Lemon, sliced
  • 1Tbsp. honey

Preparation:

Mix all of the ingredients together in pan. Simmer 10 minutes to 1 hour. Strain before drinking. The cider may be kept in refrigerator and warmed in microwave as needed. Makes one gallon
