Les Roberts

Les Roberts is the author of 23 novels, including 14 mystery novels, featuring Cleveland detective, Milan Jacovich. The Jacovich novels, which include Deep Shaker, Lake Effect, and Full Cleveland, are particularly interesting to Cleveland residents, because they feature cameos by locals celebrities as well as many of the city's landmarks.

When He's Not Writing Novels:

A native of Chicago, Mr. Roberts lives in Cleveland Heights, his adopted home. When he's not writing novels, he's a regular mystery book reviewer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer book section. He is also an accomplished jazz musician, singer, and teacher.

His Life in Hollywood:

Prior to concentrating on his novels, Les Roberts spent 24 years as a screenwriter in Hollywood, where he worked on such shows as Hollywood Squares, The Andy Griffith Show, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E..

What's New for Les Roberts:

The latest work from Mr. Roberts is the 14th in the Milan Jacovich series, "King of the Holly Hop," which was published in June of 2008. Roberts is currently at work on another non-Milan book, set in Youngstown and is working on the plot for his next Milan mystery.
