The Tuesday before Lent, Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, is a traditional day of celebration and festivities before the contemplation and abstinence of the Lenten season.
Cleveland may be a thousand miles from New Orleans and several thousand from Rio, but the city still knows how to throw a Mardi Gras party. Mardi Gras 2013 is February 12.

Paladar
At Paladar, the celebration is called Carnaval, but don't let the name change fool you. It's a Fat Tuesday party alright. The festivities include a live Latin band, half-off mojitos and complimentary beads as well as a host of Brazilian food specials. The party lasts from 11am to 2am.
