History:
Twins Days began humbly in 1976 in the Twinsburg town square with 37 sets of twins in attendance. The festival grew steadily each year to be the largest gathering of twins in the world. More than 2500 sets of twins, from newborns to octogenarians, from all over the world attend the event each year. The 2005 festival was filmed by the "Discovery Health" Channel.Events:
Events for the 2009 Twins Days include a Friday golf tournament at Gleneagles Golf Course, kids' activities, live music and entertainment, a Saturday morning parade, a twins talent show, a Sunday morning pancake breakfast, a chicken BBQ, and lots more. The Twinsburg Twins Days Festival is held the first full weekend of August each year. (2009 dates are August 5-7.) Daily admission is $3 per person. (See below for Twins and multiples registration.)The festival gates are open from 9am to 9pm on Saturday and from 730am to 7pm on Sunday. (Note: Friday activities are for twins and their friends and family.)
Register as Twins:
Twins (and triplets) are invited to register for the set price of $15 per couple for the entire weekend. Benefits of registering include admission for the entire festival, a souvenir program, participation in the group photo, and admission to the Friday "twins-only" events.
