The Tri-C JazzFest, founded in 1980, has grown to be recognized both nationally and internationally as a premiere educational jazz festival.Schedule of Events:
The 30th Annual Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland runs from April 23 to May 3, 2009. The schedule of events is as follows:- April 17 - 5pm - Parade and kick-off - Public Square - free
- April 23 - 5pm - Parade at the Avenue at Tower City; free
- April 24 - 8pm - George Benson plays tribute to Nat "King" Cole - Allen Theater, Playhouse Square, $45 - $60
- April 25 - 11am & 2pm - Jazz for Kids - Cleveland Children's Museum, $10
- April 25 - 1pm - Women in Jazz - Mt. Zion Congregational Church, free
- April 25 - 8pm - Buddy Guy - Allen Theater at Playhouse Square, $25 - $45
- April 27 - 730pm - The Ernie Krivda Trio - East Cleveland Public Library, free
- April 28 - 8pm - Eddie Baccus at Karamu House - free
- April 29 - 8pm - Premiere of "Crossing Bridges" by Cecilia Smith, Ohio Theater, $20
- April 30 - 8pm - Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth Band with Randy Weston at Tri-C Metro Campus Auditorium. $30.
- May 1 - 8pm - Dave Brubeck Quartet with Kurt Elling at Allen Theatre. $40-$65.
- May 2 - 8pm - Dave Koz with Joe Sample and Randy Crawford at Allen Theatre. $25-$45.
- May 3 - 4pm - TCJF SoundWorks featuring Sean Jones plays the music of McCoy Tyner at East Cleveland Public Library. Free.
