The Bottom Line

That Place on Bellflower, located within walking distance of many of Cleveland's cultural institutions, is a unique, cozy, and rustic eatery, housed in a former carriage house. The menu is hearty and varied and the summer bricked-in patio secluded and romantic.

Guide Review - That Place on Bellflower

That Place on Bellflower is a uniquely Cleveland restaurant. In business for over 30 years, the cozy eatery combines rustic European charm with a tasty and varied menu. Appetizer highlights include a traditional onion soup gratinee and lightly breaded calamari. Entree favorites feature duckling with an orange sauce, Beef Wellington, and pan-fried Lake Erie walleye. For dessert, diners can choose between a traditional English trifle, chocolate torte, and house-made cheesecake.

That Place on Bellflower is divided into several small, cozy dining rooms, many with wood-burning fireplaces. The restaurant has the feel of an old English hunting lodge (or at least what I think one should feel like). On weekends, the eatery adds live acoustic music for an extra romantic touch.

That Place is a great place to take a date, relax after a day at the museums around University Circle, or host a family special occasion dinner.
