Guide Review - Fat Fish Blue
****Update December, 2011**** Fat Fish Blue closed its doors on December 4, 2011. Another restaurant is moving into the space.
You just can’t help but have a good time at Fat Fish Blue. Not only is the food surprisingly good, there’s Blues live music and a kind of kinetic energy and excitement, that’s contagious. The food is spicy Louisiana cuisine. Appetizers include red beans and rice, muffaletta bites (bite-size pieces of that yummy New Orleans meat, cheese, and olive sandwich), and buffalo bites, pieces of shelled crawfish covered in cornmeal and lightly fried. Of course, there’s a tasty jambalaya and gumbo, too. Entrée highlights include Pecan-crusted Chicken with a Jack Daniels, a spicy yet subtle Etoufee, and grilled New Orleans shrimp.
The music is lively and first class, featuring a wide range of entertainers. Fat Fish Blue serves a full selection of wines, beer, and bar drinks. They also feature a full menu of specialty martinis. Fat Fish Blue is a great place for an affordable, yet fun meal and they serve well into the evening, which makes it an ideal place for after a concert, sporting event, or the theater. Expectedly, Fat Fish Blue hosts one of the best Mardi Gras parties in Cleveland.
