Ohio State's quarterback Todd Boeckman waited patiently for three years, backing up quarterbacks Justin Zwick and Heisman winner, Troy Smith. In 2007, however, he's had a chance to show off his talents, leading the OSU Buckeyes to an undefeated regular season.

Early Life:

Todd Boeckman was born in the small Northwest Ohio town of St. Henry on June 8, 1984. He is the middle of three sons born to Tim and Denise Boeckman.

High School:

Boeckman was a four-year starter at St. Henry High School, a school known for its championship football teams. As a freshman, he led the team to a Division V state title, throwing for over 7000 yards.

Todd Boeckman at Ohio State:

Boeckman, a junior, threw just 10 passes coming into the 2007 season, relegated to backing up Justin Zwick and then Heisman winner, Troy Smith. However, his patience seems to have paid off, surprising many with his excellent leadership and passing ability as the 2007 starting quarterback.

Career Stats:

Todd Boeckman's college stats (as of 11-09-07) are as follows:
  • Completed Passes: 163
  • Attempted Passes: 247
  • Passing Yards: 2051
  • Touchdowns: 24
  • Interceptions: 7
