The Cleveland Indians franchise was founded in 1915. They are currently part of the American League's Central Division and since 1994, they have played at Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland.

The team has won the World Series twice--in 1948 and in 1920. They have won the AL Pennant five times, in 1997, 1995, 1954, 1948, and 1920.

Among the several Baseball Hall of Famers to play primarily for the Cleveland Indians are Lou Boudreau, Larry Doby, Bob Feller, and Cy Young.
