"A wide view of the Detroit-Superior Bridge. Built in 1914-1918, it is a main artery connecting the east and west sides of Cleveland. The two-level bridge carried automobiles and pedestrian traffic on the upper level and electric streetcars on the lower level. The central span is 592 feet long, rises 196 feet above the river, and is anchored by twelve concrete arches."
