Look for a new quarterback at Cleveland Browns Stadium this fall--Brandon Weeden, a 28-year-old rookie from Oklahoma. He's something of an enigma. Weeden played quarterback at Oklahoma State before being drafted out of college by the New York Yankees (that's right, baseball) and pitching for a variety of Class A teams before turning back to football.

Early Life:

Brandon Weeden was born on October 14, 1983, the oldest of three sons born to Robbie and Shari Weeden. He grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma, a small town outside of Oklahoma City.

High School Career:

Weeden graduated from Edmond Sante Fee High School in 2002. While in high school, he led the football team to the state semi-finals and was named team MVP and the Oklahoma state offensive player of the year. An all-round athlete, he was also named to the Oklahoma All-State baseball and basketball teams.

Brandon Weeden's Baseball Career:

Weeden first chose baseball as a professional career and was drafted in the second round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees. A pitcher, he played for the Yankees minor league teams before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers organization in 2003. He went to the Kansas City Royals in 2005 and played for the High Desert Mavericks in the California League in 2006 before deciding to quit baseball.

College Days:

Weeden enrolled at Oklahoma State University in 2007. He immediately made the football squad, making it to starting quarterback his junior year in 2010. Weeden set numerous school records, including most passing yards in a season (214,727 in 2011), most completed passes (408 in 2011), and most total offenses (4,625 in 2011).

In 2011, Weeden led Oklahoma State to an 11-1 record and a #3 BCS ranking. The team also won the Tostita Fiesta Bowl that year.

Weeden's numerous college honors include 2010 All-Big 12 team, 2010 Player of the Year and 2010 Manning Award finalist.

Weeden and the Cleveland Browns:

Weeden was drafted during the 1st round of the 2012 NFL draft, the 22nd pick overall. He is one of the oldest players to be signed during the first round. Weeden was tapped to start the 2012 season at quarterback during the 2012 training camp.
