The Cleveland Browns were founded in 1945, a charter member of the All-America Football League. The team, originally to be called the "Panthers," took the name of the team's first coach, former OSU football coach Paul Brown.
Over the years, the Browns have won 13 division championships and 8 league championships, the most recent of which was in 1964.
The Browns play at Cleveland Browns Stadium, built in 1997 and located on the shores of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland.
