We'll start our tour with the indoor exhibits, which are located just off of the lobby area. Entering the exhibit area, you'll first come to a circle-in-the-round theater that tells about the ecology, plant, and animal life of Costa Rica.

Continuing on through the glass doors, the change in light and humidity is dramatic. All of a sudden you are in the rain forest (actually the glasshouse) with abundant vegetation and hundreds and hundreds of butterflies. Animals in the exhibit include the giant marine toad and a variety (of encased) insects, spiders, and lizards.

Follow the path to the waterfall (pictured), which you can walk behind. Before we leave the glasshouse, be sure to walk up (or take the elevator) to the canopy walk and view the forest from above.
