Exhibits:
Exhibits at the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center include a 250-gallon "Peek into the Pond" exhibit; the outdoor Deer Barn, with deer, rabbits, foxes, and other woodland creatures; the exhibit hall, where many of the Center's 100 animals may be seen; and the indoor turtle exhibit.Planetarium:
The Planetarium hosts a variety of public astronomy shows, including "Stellar Stars," "Backyard Astronomy," and "Twinkle Tots." Shows are held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday and hours vary. The Lake Erie Nature and Science Center sponsors a variety of summer space and rocket camps for children 3-13. Registration begins in March. For more information, visit the LENSC Web site.The LENSC also makes a great place to host a child's birthday party. The party package (for up to 12 children) includes the room rental for up to 2 1/2 hours between 10am and 5pm, a 30-minute wildlife or planetarium program, and a tee-shirt for the birthday child. LENSC hosts a variety of special programs throughout the year for children and adults. Among these are bird-watching hikes, fishing programs, and planetarium events.Hours and Admission:
The Lake Erie Nature and Science Center is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free (but donations are accepted).The planetarium shows range from $1 to $3 per person.
The Rehabilitation Clinic at Lake Erie Nature and Science Center :
The Lake Erie Nature and Science Center takes in approximately 1000 injured and ill wild animals each year. They do every in their power to make them well enough to release back into the wild.Contact Information:
