The Netherland Plaza Hotel, now a Hilton, is an Art Deco marvel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located in the 49-story Carew Tower, which was built during the Great Depression by the architects that would later build the Empire State Building. Design elements include Rookwood floral tiles, German nickel fixtures, Brazilian rosewood paneling, and soaring ceiling murals.

Facilities include a gym, two business centers, and the elegant Palm Court restaurant. Many of the guest rooms overlook the Ohio River.

Another historic downtown Cincinnati Hotel, the Cincinnatian has earned Mobil's four-star rating and AAA's four-diamond award. The eight-story hotel, built in 1882, is located at Fountain Square, near all downtown attractions.
