Tucked away so neatly that even longtime area residents are surprised to discover it, the Lakehouse Inn in Geneva-on-the-Lake offers a little bit of everything—a winery with light meals, a ten-room Victorian-style bed and breakfast inn, beautiful gardens, a casually-elegant grill restaurant and a romantic, lakeview apartment for two above the winery. However, it’s the expansive Lake Erie view that attracts patrons and keeps them coming back.
Winery:
The Lakehouse Inn Winery produces 13 different wines, from the "Just Peachy" semi-sweet white wine to the dry Cabernet France. The winery also serves light meals, including sandwiches, cheese platters and pizza, and guests can enjoy their purchases inside near the fireplace, in the gardens, or on the patio cantilevered over Lake Erie.
Crosswinds Grille:
The Crosswinds Grille is the Inn's full-service restaurant. Open Thursday to Saturday during the summer and Fridays and Saturdays during the winter, the restaurant specializes in Lake Erie perch dinners (grilled or fried) as well as steaks, pork chops, chicken and pizza. The offerings are all accompanied, of course, by the Inn's signature wines.
