Not since the 1900 World's Fair in Paris have the works of Carl Faberge, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and Rene Lalique been displayed together. With their exhibit, "Artistic Luxury: Faberge, Tiffany, Lalique," the Cleveland Museum of Art reunites these Gilded Age masters, with more than 300 objects of jewelry and luxury goods from museums and private collections from around the globe, including those of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Albert of Monaco.
"Artistic Luxury" will be shown at the Cleveland Museum of Art from October 19, 2008 through January 18, 2009 before moving on to San Francisco's Palace of the Legion of Honor. Admission to the Cleveland exhibition is $17 for adults and free for members and children age 4 and younger. A $5 discount is being offered for tickets purchased prior to the start of the exhibition. Visit the CMA Web site for details.
"Artistic Luxury" is open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm and on Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 9pm.
