The Cleveland Museum of Art, during its $258 million renovation, is hosting an exhibit of 200 pieces of arms and armor, from the Renaissance era of the Austrian Hapsburgs. This is the first major exhibition at CMA to deal with armor, although the museum's own armor court (now in storage) has been one of the most popular displays at the museum since its installation. "Arms and Armor from Imperial Austria" runs from February 24, 2008 to June 1, 2008.
Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and those 65 and older, and $10 for children 6-18 years of age. CWRU students are $3. Admission is free for museum members and for those under 5. The museum is open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and on Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 9pm. For more information and advance tickets, visit the museum's Web site.
