The Cleveland Museum of Art hosts its annual Lantern Festival from November 30 through December 9, 2007. Inspired by the centuries-old cross-cultural tradition of ceremonial lighting displays, this festival is the Museum's contribution to Holiday CircleFest on December 2, a day of seasonal music, gift shopping, workshops and refreshments hosted by the University Circle community. Lanterns will be set up inside the museum and around the Wade Oval area. In addition, the museum store will offer a variety of holiday gift items.

Although the museum's permanent collection is currently closed during the museum's construction, the special exhibit, Impressionist and Modern Masterworks from the Cleveland Museum of Art, is open (and free) and well worth a visit.
