From the moment you walk through the doors, you feel the sense of family in this family owned and operated restaurant. Chances are good that one of the Serpico's will be there to promptly greet or serve you at their walk-up counter. As you select from the excellent authentic Italian menu, you will tempted by the assortment of pizza, stromboli, lasagna, and fresh toppings in front of you. Salads are made fresh before your eyes, as are the gigantic Philly steak subs.
You can't go wrong with any selection you make. A good place to start is their New York Style pizza or their Philly steak subs -- two specialties of the house. The food is homemade and delicious, made from recipes brought from Italy. The breads for stromboli, subs and pizza are exceptionally fresh. Plus: they serve very generous portions for a reasonable price.
You can choose to dine in their casual dining area themed in Old World style or enjoy eating outdoors on their pavement tables during warmer months. A good portion of business takes their food “to go”. Local delivery is available for orders of $15 or more. Catering is available with 24 hours notice. Catering prices are very affordable, starting at just $29.95 for stuffed shells that serve 10. If your party has an Italian dish that you crave that isn't on their menu, they are happy to prepare that dish for your party.
Serpico's Italian Eatery is one of the best places downtown to get good quality food fast for a very reasonable price. Their main customer base is downtown employees. Serpico's is also a great spot to grab some good food while visiting Lock 3 Park or the Akron Civic Theatre, both right across the street. Serpico's stays open later during special downtown events.
