The building and landscaping at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse is as inviting as the restaurant's complimentary valet parking. The interior is formal, but not stuffy, the style classic with light touches of art deco, cherry woodwork, and decorative wine racks. Lively music fills the air.

The menu contains appetizers, salads, sides, and seafood, but Fleming's is known for its prime corn-fed beef. There is a cut and size for every taste, from the 8 oz. petite filet mignon to the 40 oz. porterhouse steak. The wine list offers an impressive 100+ wines by the glass, over 40 of which are chosen by the Akron location's wine manager.
A complimentary starter course begins the meal. The salads and sides are large enough to be split between two people. We enjoyed the spinach and portobella mushroom salad. The combination of cold spinach and tomatoes with the explosion of warm goat cheese in a crispy crust, tossed in red onion balsamic dressing, is bursting with flavor.
The filet mignon was so tender, a knife was hardly necessary. Fleming's Potatoes are multiple layers of scalloped potatoes, cream, jalapenos, and cheese. The taste was smooth and delicious with just enough spice to keep it interesting. The hot out-of-the-oven signature Chocolate Lava Cake contained the smoothest, sweetest, most addicting hot melted chocolate filling.

The staff at Fleming's is remarkable. Our server guided us through this culinary journey, ensuring that we would order the dishes we would most enjoy. The Operating Partner stopped by to greet us.
