The Akron Fossils & Science Center is an exciting place to learn about dinosaurs and Earth’s creation. You can hold actual fossils from T-Rex and many other dinosaurs and prehistoric animals and run among the large sculptured dinosaurs at the outdoor Truassic Park, filled with rides and activities. Group visits, school trips, birthday parties, lectures, and summer camp are all options of limitless fun at the Akron Fossils & Science Center. The center is an affordable and educational entertainment option for the whole family in Akron.

Museum Tour:

Whether you walk in or schedule a tour, you will get friendly, educational tours based on your groups’ ages and interests. On the tour, you will encounter many fossils and supporting material on creation science. The DNA microbiology documentary and Probability & Complexity experiment allows for discovery of intelligent design.

Throughout the museum, there are large replicas, displays, news clipping, videos, and supporting diagrams on dinosaurs, Ohio’s prehistoric history, and the process of Earth’s development. The end of the tour takes you through the Biblical account for the creation of Earth day-by-day and on Noah’s Ark.

Museum Fossils:

At the Akron Fossils and Science Center, you can hold actual dinosaur fossils from species such as Triceratops, Mega Raptor, T Rex, Duckbill, and many more. Each fossil is shown next to a toy dinosaur for easy recognition. Questions are welcomed. The tour also includes Ova Raptor eggs and an x-ray of the baby inside.

The process of creating a fossil is explained and controlled fossils are shown to prove the point that it does not take millions of years to form. The Living Fossils exhibit features fossils from animals that are alive today that were buried alongside the dinosaurs, such as beavers, sea turtles, giant salamanders, and the ceolacoath fish.

Trussaic Park:

Truassic Park is a 2-1/2 acre outdoor playground adventure for every age. The rides and activities are purposeful with scientific principles. Zoom down the 200-foot long zip-line (tiny tot zip line available too), race toy cars, bikes, and wagons on the DINO 500 racetrack; hang out on Noah's Ark; run through the dino-crossing maze; launch paper airplanes 200ft or blast off water balloons; take an adventure over the suspension bridge and swamp vines; and visit Pterodactyl Land for giant swings, 12-ft, four-person helicopter swings, and the 2-story giant slide. The park is supervised for safety.

School Trips:

According to the Zogby Report, 78% of all US voters want both sides of the evolution debate discussed in the classroom. The Akron Fossils & Science Center is an excellent source for either a field trip or in class lecture. When visiting the center, public school tours are not mandated to finish the tour through the additional Biblical Creation portion of the center. Proper permissions slips are required from the parents of students for this and any field trip. Group discounts are available. The "Museum in a Backpack" option brings the lecture and fossils to the students’ classrooms.

Museum in a Backpack:

The Museum in a Backpack programs brings a fascinating Creation Science presentation to your class, group, or organization. The presentations are hands-on with many real and replica dinosaur bones! Choose from five creation talks and five semi-technical lectures. Topics include: Dinosaurs by Design, Noah’s Ark, The Ice Age, and Secrets of the Ica Stones.

Presentations can also be customized to your specific group based on many factors including age, size, cultural/religious background, and level of scientific comprehension. Pricing is determined based on the program you chose, distance from the center, and other variables.

Monthly Clubs and Events:

There is always a fascinating lecture, event, club, or camp happening at the Akron Fossils & Science Center. Lectures for adults and families are offered monthly on a variety of topics and scientific levels of understanding. Fees are very reasonable.
