The Akron Art Museum's extensive modern art collection is housed in the second floor galleries of the John S. and James L. Knight building. Highlights of the collection include works by Donald Judd, including "Untitled 1969" pictured above (it's the rectangular piece); "Linda," a wall-side portrait by American Chuck Close; an installation piece by Doris Sacedo; and "Diepholz," a modern mixed-media piece by Frank Stella.
