Conveniently located between Cleveland, Columbus, and Pittsburgh, in downtown Akron, The John S. Knight Center serves Akron, regional, and national clients for events of every kind and size. Founded in 1994, the center was named in honor of the founder of the Akron Beacon Journal and Knight Publishing Company.
The Exhibit Hall:
The John S. Knight Center offers many spaces at the center to accommodate any size event. The unique lobby includes a two-story spiral staircase and glass rotunda; this spacious 22,000 square-feet can be used for event registration or an event destination. Also on the lower level, there are eighteen meeting rooms, twelve that are flexible and expandable to meet your needs. The upper level houses the banquet and ballroom. This 12,855 square feet can be divided into separate dining and meeting rooms, as necessary. Also on the upper level is the 30,000 square foot exhibition hall.
Amenities:
The John S. Knight Center provides services and equipment to complement any event. The complete offering of technical services available include a computer-controlled sound system, video, telephones, data and satellite reception, infrared audio communication, and inductive loops for the hearing impaired, video conferencing and video streaming systems. All presenters, attendees, and exhibits are secure with their 24-hour security system. Catering services are available for as few as five people to as many as 3,500. Ample parking in a covered parking deck is accessible via enclosed skywalk.

Various events for business, education and entertainment are scheduled year round for the public. The center has popular annual events such as the Akron Home and Flower Show, Holiday Tree Festival and Healthy Baby Fair.
