The Carousel Dinner Theatre, in Akron Ohio, is the largest professional dinner theatre in America. The 51,000-square foot theater is accommodate over 1000 guests. Once you walk in from the free outside parking lot, you will feel as though you are walking through the doors to a glamorous Las Vegas style showroom.

The Carousel Dinner Theater is one of Akron’s best kept secrets and not what you would expect in small-town Ohio. There is not a bad seat in the house as there are multiple floor levels surrounding the stage. The sparkle of the candle-lit tables add to the luxurious atmosphere.
The business casual dress code enhances the elegance of the evening; no jeans, t-shirts or tennis shoes are allowed. You will see attire from business casual to semi-formal. The theatre has facilities for hearing-impaired guests and those using wheelchairs.
The Carousel Dinner Theatre offers live performances eight times a week, year round, featuring name entertainers from New York City and other US cities. Local talent is used when needed by audition. The schedule includes a mixture of time tested musicals as well as new productions. The schedule for 2007/2008 includes "White Christmas," "The Odd Couple," "The King and I," "Damn Yankees," "Viaggio," "The Wizard of Oz," and "All Shook Up".
Dining at the Carousel Dinner Theater:
You will delight in the delicious menu options at Carousel Dinner Theatre. Don’t worry about the fact that the staff has to serve so many guests at one time, Carousel has it covered. The theatre has an executive chef on staff with a well supplied kitchen staff and over seventy servers. The pace of the evening is relaxed and enjoyable with plenty of time to enjoy each course. Guests stay at the same table to enjoy the performance. The atmosphere is elegant and romantic with candle lights, linen-clothed tables and soft music.
The Carousel Dinner Theater offers a full menu. Enjoy appetizers, such as a fresh fruit or cheese plate, sampler platter, fondue, shrimp and more; I recommend the sauerkraut balls, they cannot be beat. Your ticket price includes one main entrée with a salad, rolls and coffee/tea. Main entrees include selections such as Chicken Francaise, Yankee Pot Roast, Chicken Florencia Salad, Sole Florentine, and a Vegetarian menu. I had the Yankee Pot Roast, which was so tender and delicious it could be cut with a fork. For an additional charge, you can choose from Prime Rib, Steak, Salmon and specialty sandwiches.
Carousel Dinner Theater has a full alcoholic bar to choose from and each meal has a suggested wine. Dessert is superb and served during intermission. Choose from their sundae bar, parfaits, cheesecake, and other ice cream favorites. If you cannot decide, I’d suggest going with the dessert sampler which can be split easily between two people. The sampler includes their Chocolate Molten Lava Cake, Carrot Cake, Banana-Caramel Fried Cheesecake and ice cream.
The Carousel Dinner Theatre can accommodate groups of 20 – 800! They will make your group outing extra special with red-carpet treatment and special pricing.
