Country Cottages and Gardens

Relax and renew the romance in your life at Country Cottage & Gardens is a retreat near to beautiful countryside and peacefulness, yet conveniently located just one hour south of Akron. This adult-only establishment offers a very private get-a-away on 17 acres of lush, impeccably maintained grounds with gardens around every corner, a private pond, and surrounded by dense woods. There are three unique cottage options set apart from each other as well as the Estate House available for rent for as little as just a one night stay.

Cottages:

Expect five-star hotel treatment in each cottage, but with extra, personal touches. In the full-size kitchen, there are muffins, pastries, biscotti, chocolates, coffee, and tea. In the bathroom, take pleasure in luxurious embroidered bath towels, full size toiletries, and robes. Fresh flowers adorn the dining table, to be taken home as a remembrance of your stay. The queen size bed is made with freshly ironed linens. Special touches and requests is what the Country Cottage & Gardens is all about. If you would like special flowers or a bottle of wine upon your arrival, just ask.

Moose Lip Cottage:

The Moose Lip cottage is beautifully decorated with rustic country cottage charm. The large two-story, open kitchen is casual and inviting with hardwood floors. The large, open loft bedroom has a sitting area, lamps on end tables, dressers, and closet. The oversized first floor bath has a gorgeous sink set in an antique dresser. The living room has comfortable seating with a stove fire place. French doors let the sun and nature in. On warm days, open the doors to extend the living space to the enclosed porch, furnished with rocking chairs, sitting chairs, and tables.

Contemporary Cottage:

The contemporary cottage has an upscale, current ambiance with modern artwork throughout. The kitchen has original pieces of art from local artists. Bamboo and dark wood skillfully flow throughout the cottage. The large loft bedroom overlooks the kitchen below. The living room is decorated with a bamboo couch and chair and dark wood furniture. French doors invite the outdoors in and extend the living space during warm seasons. The screened in porch is an oasis with the comforts of home with seating and overhead fans, with a view of the woods.

The Cottage:

The Cottage has all the charm of the country with a large, romantic wood-burning fireplace at the heart of the living room. The atmosphere is romantic with floral prints and mirrors throughout. The full size kitchen also has seating at the tiled bar. This cottage has a full bath downstairs and a half-bathroom upstairs. The spacious bedroom is a cozy refuge with two sitting areas and a TV. The private outdoor patio overlooks the pond and the woods.

Cottage Amenitites:

Amenities abound at Country Cottage & Gardens. Enjoy the large, heated, indoor pool and Jacuzzi by reserving it for private use. The cottages offer outdoor sitting areas to take in nature’s beauty, equipped with furniture and outside grills. The private, serene pond is available to canoe or fish. The kitchen is fully equipped. A TV, VCR, and large video library are in each cottage. End your day under the stars with a bonfire beside your cottage. A gourmet personal chef is at your service. A professional massage is just a call away.

The Estate House:

The Estate House can be rented for a family reunion, corporate party, holiday gathering, weddings, and more. The décor is romantic and inviting. On site catering is available for appetizers to full course dinners. The main floor has a flowing floor plan with a foyer, living room with fireplace, dining room, large kitchen, sitting room, and a large deck outside. There are four gorgeous bedrooms that sleep eight people. Two bedrooms have full baths and the other two have an adjoining bathroom. The rooms are beautifully decorated with views of the woods and pond; some have private balconies with seating.

The Grounds:

The grounds and gardens at Country Cottages and Gardens are meticulously maintained and flourishing. Mature trees provide shade to the hosta gardens. Explore the woods with running streams winding through. There are several trails. The one-acre pond is restful and well-kept. The canoe house has canoes and fishing rods for peaceful enjoyment of the pond. The grounds provide a retreat from the stress and stress of the city and day-to-day life; it allows you to enjoy the simple pleasures of life and reconnect with your loved one naturally.
