Stan Hywet Hall
Stan Hywet Hall in Akron, Ohio is a National Historic Landmark. The 65-room Tudor-style mansion was built by Goodyear Rubber Company founder, F.A. Seiberling and his wife Gertrude. Today, the gracious mansion and elaborate gardens are open to the public. The site also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year.

E. J. Thomas Hall - Akron
E.J. Thomas Hall is located on the campus of The University of Akron. This performance hall is the largest of three in Akron, and home of the Akron Symphony Orchestra, the Tuesday Musical Club and the Children's Concert Society. Each year, more than 400,000 guests enjoy world-class performances including Broadway musicals, ballets, comedies, lectures, entertainers, and special events at the venue.
All-American Soap Box Derby
The All-American Soap Box Derby is an annual event held in late July or early August at Akron's Derby Downs race track. The event, begun in 1934, allows boys and girls ages 8-17 to compete in home-made, non-motorized cars for scholarships and other prizes. The race event is surrounded by a week full of activities, including a parade, a rally, and celebrity appearances.
The Akron Zoo
The Akron Zoo, begun in 1953 as the Akron Children's Zoo, is a small, family-friendly park, located just west of downtown Akron. The 50-acre zoo is home to over 700 animals, including the endangered Humboldt penguins, jaguar, and the elusive snow leopard.
University of Akron
The University of Akron, founded in 1870, is located in the heart of the "Rubber City." The school, best know for its College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering, offers 300 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The sprawling city campus has an enrollment of over 23,000 students, and continues to expand.

Goodyear Blimp
Akron Ohio's Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company has been building blimps since 1925. In the past they have been used for military surveillance as well as for air demonstrations. Today, the company's three distinctive "ambassadors" are used primarily for sporting events and to ferry corporate guests.
