Q. What is this site?

A. Cleveland.about.com is a complete informational source about the city designed for residents, prospective visitors, and those interested in learning more about Cleveland. Like all about.com sites, we are a fluid, interactive community. I encourage and welcome your comments, ideas, and suggestions.

Q. How can I contact you?

A. There are several ways to contact me. Feel free to send me an email message at cleveland.guide@about.com. However, if you think your comment or question might be of interest to others, consider posting it on the forum. I check the forum at least once each business day.

Q. Are there rules for the forum?

A. Not many. Just the rules of decent behavior. Please no profanity, no spam, and no libelous or nasty comments. They will be promptly removed. We welcome lively debate and honest opinions as well as suggestions and comments.

Q. How do I add an event to your event calendar?

A. I update the event calendars twice a week. If your group or organization is planning an event, please let me know at least four business dates in advance (more, if possible). Please send the specifics of the event, the date, time, and cost to me at cleveland.guide@about.com.

Q. I want you to link to my site, will you?

A. Well, that depends. I'd be interested in taking to you about it. Generally, I use informational, rather than commercial links.

Q. I want to write a review or an article for your site. Is that ok?

A. For the most part, I develop the content and the editorial direction of the site myself. However, if you are a great writer with an interesting idea, a unique point of view, or a one-of-a-kind interview, let me know. My budget doesn't allow me to pay much, but let's talk. I'd be particuarly interested in quirky and lesser known restaurant or shop reviews and items of GLBT interest.
