Modell Denied Hall of Fame

By February 2, 2013

Follow me on:

On the eve of his former team's return to the Super Bowl, former Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell was eliminated from the running this year for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Modell, who died this past September, owned the Cleveland Browns franchise from 1961 until 1995 when he moved the team to Baltimore and renamed them the Ravens. He owned the Ravens until 2004. Modell faced heavy criticism (and not just from Clevelanders) about the way the move was handled. What do you think? Should he have a place in the Hall of Fame?
