Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood, just across the Detroit-Superior bridge from downtown, is one of the city's oldest and most diverse areas. An independent city for its first 50-some years, the neighborhood was the home of Cleveland's wealthy citizens, long before the mansions on Euclid Avenue were envisioned. Today, many of the beautiful 19th century homes have been restored and share space with trendy restaurants, interesting boutiques, and loft-style condominiums.
Some of the highlights of the neighborhood are the architecturally-interesting West Side Market, the Great Lakes Brewing Company on Market Avenue, and Heck's Cafe, on Bridge Street. Take a look at this fascinating neighborhood in the Ohio City photo gallery.
