Discount Admission at Maltz Museum through January 13

maltz museumThe Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage is thanking the Cleveland area public for their support over the past year by offering reduced admission to the museum between now and January 13, 2013. The regular admission price of $13 has been cut to just $5 per person, and children under age 12 are admitted free. This includes admission to the museum's permanent collection as well as admission to the current exhibit, "Israeli Arts and Culture featuring Bezalel on Tour."

The Maltz Museum, which opened in 2005, is located on Richmond Road in Beachwood. The permanent collection includes eight galleries, with exhibits such as "They've Arrived" about NE Ohio's Jewish immigrants and "Wonderland" - a tribute to Ohio's Jewish entertainers from Vaudeville to the present, narrated by native NE Ohioan, Joel Grey. To me, the most exciting part of the museum are the galleries that house a portion of the Judaic art collection from Temple-Tifereth Israel.

The Maltz Museum is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm, Wednesday from 11am to 9pm and Saturday from noon to 5pm. At $5 per person, there's no excuse not to visit this treasure trove of Cleveland history.
