"World's Finest Orchestra" ... for FREE

Saturday June 20, 2009
The Cleveland Orchestra caps off the week-long Independence Day celebration with their annual FREE concert on Public Square, Thursday July 2. The festivities begin at 4pm with pre-concert entertainment, featuring local musicians and performers. The Orchestra "Star-Spangled Spectacular" program begins at 9pm, under the direction of guest conductor, Loras John Schissel.

The program will include popular favorites by composers George Gershwin, Elmer Bernstein, Richard Rodgers, William Steffe, and Irving Berlin, culminating with Tchaikovsky’s “1812” Overture, complete with cannons and fireworks. Get there early for a good seat.
