Great American Rib Cook-Off and Music Festival

great american rib cook-offThe Great American Rib Cook-Off and Music Festival is back and ready to go this year, under the sponsorship of Marc's this year.

The four-day food and music festival is a Cleveland favorite and the unofficial start to the Northeast Ohio summer festival season. Held at the Time-Warner Cable Amphitheater, the event features ten BBQ masters, including Northeast Ohio's own Jack on the Bone, competing for "Greatest Ribs," "Greatest Sauce," and "People's Choice" awards.

In addition to the food, the Rib Cook-Off features an array of live entertainment, all of which is included in the admission price. This year's stars include Third Eye Blind, Shinedown, and Keane.

The festival is scheduled for May 22 to 25 (2009). Admission is $7 for adults; children under 12 are free. Admission is also free on Friday during lunch hours, from 11am to 1pm as we;; as Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3pm. Monday admission is just $1.
